Turning trusted connections into high-value meetings feels less like cold outreach and more like meaningful conversations.

How it works

David Moreira, Co-Founder of Automate rev.ops, executed a brilliant LinkedIn outreach campaign achieving a 32% reply rate. His approach focuses on building genuine relationships with prospects by qualifying LinkedIn connections through Clay and utilizing its native integration with HeyReach to launch campaigns.

What makes this strategy particularly effective is its high conversion rate from replies to booked meetings. David specializes in helping clients set up Clay workflows and automate their revenue operations.

The process begins on LinkedIn by searching and filtering first-degree connections. Using HeyReach, these leads are exported first to the platform, then downloaded as a CSV file.

Once uploaded to Clay, the following qualification process begins:

Clay enrichment
  • Use Prospeo.ai to gather essential information including contact details, job information, and location
  • Apply AI filtering to include only leads from the EU, USA, Canada, Dubai, and Israel
  • Clean up contact data by removing emojis, middle names, and standardizing job titles
  • Use AI to qualify leads based on job titles—automatically including titles like "SDR" and "BDR" while excluding those containing keywords such as "operations" or "HR"
  • Filter out existing clients using the "Blacklist Clay" column

Qualified prospects are then automatically transferred to HeyReach to begin the campaign sequence:

HeyReach campaign

The campaign starts by liking a prospect's recent post to appear in their notifications. Three hours later, the first message is sent:

Hey {FIRST_NAME}, I'm just curious, are you aware of {TRENDING TOPIC}?

When leads reply, they're handed over to an SDR. If there's no response, a gentle follow-up is sent after three days—designed to remind without pressure.

:)

The final message is sent five days after the first follow-up.

I'd guess you're not into {TRENDING TOPIC} at all. Wouldn't you like to {BENEFITS OF YOUR SOLUTION} or avoid {PAIN RELATED TO NOT HAVING YOUR SOLUTION}?

David's sequence strikes an ideal balance between engagement and professionalism, making it versatile across industries. Its straightforward approach, customizable templates, and impressive 32% reply rate demonstrate its effectiveness.
